About Us and the Isle of Man
The Isle of Man is situated between England and Ireland and has a population of @ 80,000 . It is 33 miles long and 11 miles wide. Perhaps it is best known for the Tourist Trophy Races every year in June, when the population nearly doubles with visitors.
However there is much more to the Island, as it has a rich and varied history.
We have been invaded by the Vikings, have our own language and the oldest Parliament in the World, as well as the biggest Water Wheel, Lady Isabella.
There are plenty of things to see and do on the Island. There is a lovely sandy beach just 3/4 mile from the house that is safe for children. There are museums and Castles to explore. Glens to ramble through and beautiful rivers to lie by and contemplate the day.
